A quick trip into Henley, he said...I need a new saw, he moaned... Well, fair enough John had laid half the floor using a now VERY blunt saw, so off we went...on our quick trip.We left at 9am. and returned by 5pm. after an eventful day in which he half froze to death, lost his woolly hat, almost lost his glasses, met up with an old school friend and, oh yes, bought a saw.
Lovely to see you John and Janet, a great surprise!
It's snowing tonight in the Bourbonnais... And it's cold !!! But it will be worst until the week-end !! Brrr !! I wish you a better weather on Vasillian !!
ReplyDeleteIl n'y a pas encore de la neige, mais il fait froid dehors.Heureusement il y a la chauffage dans la...!!!
DeleteIf you need some other tools to finish your floor-project I can send them to you from NZ, good prices, good stuff! Just phone me, no worries mate. It will take some shipping-time but since you are retired....Love, Marc.
ReplyDeleteMerci Marc, mais j'espere que John va travailler plus vite que la poste! It's supposed to be a holiday!!!Good to see you are enjoying yours now!
DeleteI think, we had not so a bad idea to go to the southern hemisphere for the winter. It's very pleasant and it will not be the last time!
ReplyDeletedo you have warm enough on the boat?

T'inquiet pas Suzanne, la chauffage marche tres bien. \des fois c'est trop!!!We are also having a great time. Loving retirement!!!
DeleteLooks like things are going along swimmingly! Is that John Gill I spy?
ReplyDeleteSwimmingly? !! Neither of us has fallen in yet, though we both came close on the trip up to Henley!!! And , yes, it is indeed John Gill who had read the blog and decided to try and find us. He and Janet often walk the Thames footpath so set off to look for the boat.We weren't that difficult to find as we were moored just by the car park!!Great surprise.
